all of it and asked myself the same question the participants answered, a scientist will ask self - what is the point in spending so much money on JWST from my taxes, much better spent on the poverty, sick, poor health?

Question like this are easy to ask. The reply that makes sense follows from this answer on Sir Modi who spent 323 crore in Varanasi corridor in a state with 4 lakh poor nutrition - If it attracts just 3 crore tourists who spend just 1000 each, the state gets tax revenue with 10% taxes to make the fix sought forever,  my add, not just 1 year, no-one is likely to go for meta-moron  leader chosen by the object. Every dollar spent on science in the USA returned 6 dollars and extra values in gentle world propaganda and national dream in the USA.

But the question is why did science succeed in the west? Why did US prosper? Why did Hitler Germany and South Africa prosper and collapse. Russia and China unstable prosperity? Stable prosperity in the USA and the UK. EU. Low growth democratic corrupt India and then high growth under Modi?

Beyond the ism of others, can I evaluate just above? Unless you can do the above, your ism is stupid! You too! My ism can, above para can be used as litmus. Moron if fail on even one, or unbelievable walk. Meta-moron if more than one.

The first point is illogic, All other than data are dumb! Unless empiricism ls adopted, moronity. Adopted by successful always. ALL kowtow to book or human is stupid unless editable. Then centralization for effective synchronization. And decentralization for human rights. Possible only within a democratic constitution with tensions between organs of state. Golden age of Rome was with 5 emperors without a son, had to pick a successor. But no democracy then. The son of last lived, blew the empire, 1 less competent generation enough. Congress for 70 years acted unsychronised but democratic - anemic rate of Indian growth. Enters Modi, walks over decentralization, huge rate of development. But different and better than the USA or ancient Romans, depends on relative-free party. A relative free administration. Losses are temporary. Would have worked to a civilized great Rome by 1000 AD! Only resourceful powerful supreme courts could prevent Xi and Putin lifelong administrations. Blessed be Indian Supreme Court who prevented a total rewrite by Mrs. Gandhi.

USA and UK have had Indian rate of growth since 1600. They will be stumbling giants next. Hitler centralization had total lack of humanness. South Africa style centralization made it unstable to market destruction possible from Racism. China follows that. Only Xi's time has corruption killing. No decent constitution or balance in China. EU prosperity can continue with controlling constitution and balance only! Sane dream - BJP SAARC!

USA junior officials can trump seniors more established by arguing with data! So in India. Modi can afford to make mistakes as he has a plethora of near competent. But you have a few children only! 1 less competent generation is enough to spoil several generation effort.

JWST kept me alive to 2011 and then 2022.A nd odds favor a thousand year life by repeated deaging to achieve negligible senesensce. JWST confirms Big Bang, enlightens our planets, applies spectroscopes to remote exo-planets. Keeps me interested transfixed easily for thousands years life, too short likely.
